It suits sleepers who value handcrafted, all-British wool construction with durable edge stability and customizable firmness for different night-time needs.
What care or maintenance helps keep this mattress in good condition?

The Devonshire is Vispring's entry point into the hand-crafted range, built with an all-British wool construction that layers three distinct wools from surface to core. The ticking is woven from wool and viscose for a soft, breathable touch that remains durable with decades of use. A layer of hand-teased Devonshire fleece wool provides immediate give, inviting air to circulate and moderating temperature through the night, while a deeper layer of British fleece wool adds depth and resilience to prevent uneven compression over time.
The spring system features a single tier of 1,716 hand-nested, calico-pocketed Vanadium steel coils in a King size, each coil in its own calico pocket to respond independently to weight. Vanadium steel maintains tension longer than standard carbon steel, ensuring long-lasting support across the range. Available in Soft, Medium, Firm, and Extra Firm, the Devonshire also offers centre split for King sizes to accommodate different preferences. Two rows of hand side-stitching secure the border coils to the edge, while hand-tufting with felt washers anchors fillings to prevent lateral shifting and maintain a consistently firm surface over time.
